As I'm blogging this morning, we're waiting to see whether the republicans in the house of representatives will stand strong against this latest intrusion on the Constitution and the free enterprise system that made the country strong. The stock market is trading, but the numbers are all red. Everybody's anxious to see how much free money they're going to get! Actually it isn't free, because somebody has to pay. Guess who?

Or in the city of Tyler, Texas. Take the stress out of your life, and come and live in a much less worrisome environment. MORNING NEWS

Well, it looks as if the United States congress has us in a great big mess! Political correctness has dug us a hole, and we're falling into to it.

SUNDAY MORNING

I'm about to go and preach this morning, but I couldn't help posting before I leave. Lots of stuff going on right now, what with politics heating up, new storms brewing, and real estate hurting in many places.

A couple of newer ideas have come up recently. Lots of folks living on boat houses (property tax free), and paper houses being built in a few locations. The best material is called papercrete - concrete mixed with waste paper. Pretty cool!

Below average priced homes are selling like hotcakes (if the buyer is credit worthy), but higher end properties are still slow. I guess folks with money are waiting for the bottom.

East Texas was completely spared the remnants of Gustav. We only got drizzle for a couple of days. Looking toward Ike!! Yikes.
