Nice Stats!

Just wanted to post a couple of statistics for you. These are from the national association of realtors for 2005.

Seventy seven percent of all home buyers in the year 2005 searched the internet to find a home! That's an incredible statistic, which indicates the importance of having a great web site. People, buyers and sellers have to be able to find you!

The next statistic is also amazing, considering the fact that a number of home buyers think that they can get a home cheaper if they buy direct from a home seller. But NAR says that ninety percent of all home buyers solicited the assistance of a licensed realtor to help them. And when you consider the fact that most real estate litigation occurs from the sale and purchase of a "for sale by owner", it's no wonder why realtors are so important to the industry.

Web Site

Seems as if we can't recover fully from the nine days in Europe. Every time we plan to relax and get our bearings, a customer wants our services. Can't complain! It's been very busy, and the summer rush, as usual, is kicking in big time. Tyler Texas real estate is on the map; and the web site, www.johncmartin.com, is doing the job it was designed to do.

There are folks from fourteen countries hitting on the site; and there are nearly a hundred and fifty hits per hour and a hundred and thirty five searches of the site every day.

The web site is navigible for beginners, and it's interesting to internet-savvy folks too. We try our best to give people all they need in their decision-making process. And when they finally come to Tyler, the city sells itself. We love this process, and we're serving people in their real estate needs.

Jetlag!

Well, we're back. After ten days in Europe with two of our grandaughters, we're whipped. Jetlag is real! Sixteen hours of flying and waiting for planes..... and we lost seven hours. It was better going. Coming back is a pain. But it's good to be home. Some 800 emails on queue, and I'm busy catching up.

We did some looking at real estate while we were there; and we've got it so good here. I'm glad I'm not serving customers in London. Tyler, Texas real estate is the best, and we're off and running once more.
